Tanya Heaslip grew up in the remote Aussie outback on a cattle farm north of Alice Springs. It was there she developed a passion for books, and began writing her own stories.
She’s now a lawyer, the president of the NT Writers' Centre and the author of three memoirs, Alice to Prague, An Alice Girl, and most recently, Beyond Alice.
Beyond Alice is the story of Tanya's childhood, taking her from the freedom of life in the bush to a strict boarding school in the city.
